Are your products you paint with safe for kids? TOP
YES! We are a "green-friendly" company and we do our very best to give back to mother nature. In doing so, we use only environmentally friendly dyes and paints. Our paints are also non-toxic and completely safe to wear.
Where do you come up with your designs? TOP
We embrace the whimsical world and with that, many of our kid-fun designs are inspired by nature and mother nature. Kids love the different textures and glitters our designs have and they can relate to simple "pictures" we create.
What are the washing instructions for your clothing? TOP
Our clothing has been pre-washed however, because of the dye we add, we suggest you wash it a time or two alone first before mixing it with other clothes. Clothes with rhinestones should be HAND WASHED ONLY to preserve the wear. Clothes without rhinestones can be turned inside out and washed in a cold delicate cycle. Lay flat to dry.
Why are there different colors throughout the outfit? TOP
The clothing is hand dyed by our artists. The dye is mixed with a salty reactor which will sometimes leave small deposits of rich color throughout the garment. This is how we like it! It add extra character to the garment and ensures a unique one-of-a-kind piece of art!
Are your clothes pre-washed? TOP
Yes. They are pre-washed during the dying phase of our process. They are then dryed in a dryer as well so they are pre-shrunk.
What kind of paint do you use? TOP
We love paint!! The great thing about it is that it comes in all textures and is fun to design with! We use sparkle paint, puffy paint, shiny paint, speckled paint, and the list goes on!!! All of our paint is non-toxic and environmentally safe too.
I see you donate to charities, how can my charity get on your donation list? TOP
K and K Designs truly believes in giving back. In doing so, we accept applications from different organizations who are looking for a little help. K and K Designs will often single out a special product for the charity and donate a portion of the proceeds to them. Look for our Featured Charity item in the near future. What is so special about your hang tags? TOP
Because we are a GREEN company, we thought it was important to promote a totally green company. We searched high and low and found these fabulous "plantable" tags. You can actually plant the tags in your garden and watch the wild flowers grow! The paper is biodegradable and the flowers are embedded in the tag. Water, sunlight, and love is all you need!
Are your products made in the USA? TOP
Most of our products are made in the USA with the exception of the canvas shoes. All of our clothing and accessories (except for flashing rings) are hand made by artist around the US. We encourage and promote USA products.
Why are there variations in colors? TOP
Colors can vary for two reasons. 1- monitors can often make colors look a little different online than they do in person and 2- Our products are hand dyed. Unless the garment is dyed in the same bath as another, it may have a slight variation in color.
Why are there some designs in the ready to buy sections but not in the Custom Order section? TOP
Some of our designs have been featured designs for special occasions or events. Other reasons are that the artist was "creating" with different designs or styles. In any event, the designs are guaranteed to be unique!!
